40
We are conducting a paid interview study to explore the role technology plays in the lives of people with endometriosis. If you are interested and willing to participate, first — thank you; and second, we ask that you fill out a screening survey to help us find eligible participants. At this time, the study is limited to individuals in the United States.

41
The screening survey takes 2–5 minutes. If invited for the interview study, we'd like to have a conversation with you about your endometriosis and technology use via video call (60–90 minutes). We offer a $100 gift card for participating.

53
Eligibility

54
You must (a) believe you live with endometriosis, (b) speak English fluently, (c) live in the US, and (d) be over the age of 18.

55
56
What's involved

57
A recorded, individual video-call interview lasting 60–90 minutes. Only audio is recorded; you choose whether your video is on or off. Participation is voluntary — you may stop at any time.

58
59
Purpose

60
Endometriosis presents differently for different people and often takes a long time to diagnose. This study aims to understand the experiences of individuals living with confirmed or suspected endometriosis in relation to various technologies, in order to identify better ways to support endometriosis management with and without technology.

61
62
Risks and benefits

63
There are no obvious physical, legal, financial, or economic risks associated with participating. There are no direct tangible benefits, but your participation will help build a foundational understanding of technology's role in living with endometriosis.

64
65
Privacy

66
We plan to publish the results of this study. No information that could identify you will be included in reports or publications. Participants and their data (e.g., clinic names) are given pseudonyms or participant numbers. Only the research team and transcribers bound to a confidentiality agreement have access to the conversations. Recordings and transcripts are kept on a secure U-M server.

67
68
Data retention

69
Interview data is retained for potential comparative research studies. Screening survey responses are discarded once interview data collection is complete.

72
A $100 gift card upon completion of the interview.
