The celebration was a collaborative effort between Mesa Verde National Park staff, the Mesa Verde Museum Association, ARAmark Mesa Verde Company, and surrounding communities.

The Four Corners Region

Mesa Verde sits at the heart of the Four Corners region, where Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico meet. This area is home to an extraordinary concentration of archaeological sites and living Native American communities whose ancestors built the cliff dwellings and villages that make Mesa Verde so remarkable. The centennial celebration honored not only the park itself but the broader cultural landscape and the Indigenous peoples whose heritage it preserves.
