Yankees move on to the ALDS to face Tampa after dominating the Red Sox in a two-game sweep. Do you think the Yankees captain makes the roster for the Division Series?

Yes, he'll start at least once

Yes, he'll pinch hit

Not this time

Will Aaron Judge make an appearance in the ALDS?

Cody Bellinger

Max Fried

Luis García Jr.

Other?

Yankees win and sweep the Red Sox! Who was player of the game?

A couple big moments as the Yankees put up another big inning against Boston's bullpen.

Bellinger's home run

Jones' steal/Adley's error

Wells' sac fly

Other

What was the biggest turning point of the sixth inning?

His homer has the Yankees in front in Game 2, and has had a couple big moments this season.

Fill in the blank: Luis García Jr. is the best Yankees' deadline pickup since...

What do you think of the Yankees' lineup for Game 2?

With a chance to clinch this series against Boston, I want to see a few things.1) I want to see Sonny Gray pitch almost as well as he's always pitched in Yankee Stadium. His 5.95 ERA at Yankee Stadium is by FAR, his worst at any park that he's thrown more than 26 innings in. 2) I want the Yankees to treat him like the Mets treat Gerrit Cole - with absolutely no mercy, and keep bludgeoning him, over and over again. 3) A Yankee win. That's all that matters. Don't bother messing around with a Game 3. Cole's pitching Game 3 (if necessary), and the Red Sox are the only team that's tagged him even close to as badly as the Mets have in his career. I trust Cole against every other potential playoff opponent (although the Dodgers have given him some fits) Why bring that scenario to light? Win tonight, and save him for Game 1 on Saturday against Tampa, a team that he has a 3.33 career ERA against in 140 innings (by FAR the most he's pitched against any team).Just win baby!

What I want to see tonight

Very impressed with our youth in tonight's game!Cam was a monsterBenny 2 HR 6 RBI'sWells 2 RBIVolpe, Lombard and Jones were on base and right in the thick of it.Lots for the scouting dept. to be proud of tonight, LGY!

The Kids Are Alright

Boston Fans are upset and for once I am not going to take any pleasure from it. There team just proved that using analytics the wrong way can cost you a Ball Game. Not taking into account individual performance and treating every player as being the exact same way can ultimately prove to be fatal in this game. They're upset with Chad Tracy and they have every reason to be.

They are having a complete overreaction though and wanting all "stat nerds" gone from the org lol.Analytics are what allowed a not very talented team to go on a tear in the second half to even make the playoffs.

Would you rather it had been the Yankees providing the proof of which you speak, or were you just creating a straw-man to attack? Go to Over the Monster if you wish pass on your condolences to Red Sox fans and feel about yourself, then get back to us on how that goes! Good luck!
