Ignition, 2026
one-channel video, full hd, color, stereo, duration: 8 min.

The video is a contemplation of a sensory natural phenomenon - warmth, heat, fire - and addresses how humans deal with heat and fire, their quest to control it but at the same time refers to the uncontrollable part of nature: We see various forms of controlled fire in laboratories or in field research. We also see the borderlines and tipping points between human control and loss of control, which is the focus of this work.
