Abstracts and proposals open

Last updated 17 Jul 2026

The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) is pleased to announce that abstract and proposal submissions for Pathology Update 2027 are now open.

Pathology Update is the premier annual scientific meeting for the pathology community across Australasia. Making a submission is your opportunity to share your research, quality initiatives, and clinical insights with the pathology community, including your peers and leaders in the field.

This year, there are two submission categories to choose from. This includes abstract submissions and a new category; proposal submissions. This change has been made to reflect the RCPA’s commitment to creating a diverse scientific program that invites engagement from across the pathology and senior science professions.

Abstract submission

Abstracts include oral presentations and e-posters.

Abstract submissions are open to members and non-members and cover a range of themes spanning the pathology disciplines.
