DMCA / Copyright Policy
Last Updated / Effective Date: September 16, 2026 Document Version: 2026-09-16 This DMCA / Copyright Policy describes how PeteZah (the "Service," "we," "us") responds to claims of copyright infringement involving material on or linked from our properties. 1. Respect for Copyright We respect intellectual property rights. Games, applications, artwork, audio, video, brands, and other works accessible through the Service generally belong to their respective owners. Unless we expressly state otherwise, we do not claim ownership of third-party works. 2. Role as Service Provider; Safe Harbor Intent Where applicable, we intend to operate consistent with the notice-and-takedown framework of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, and analogous laws. Section 512 distinguishes among activities such as transitory communications, system caching, storage at a user's direction, and referring/linking users to online locations. Eligibility depends on the facts of the activity actually performed — not on Terms language alone. To the extent we qualify as a service provider for a given activity, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to material or references under our control that are the subject of a valid infringement notice. DESIGNATED AGENT: Our publicly listed DMCA contact is [email protected]. Service providers seeking certain § 512 protections must also designate an agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and keep that designation current. We treat public notice contact and Copyright Office registration as related compliance steps; questions about agent registration status may be sent to [email protected]. 3. What This Policy Covers This Policy covers allegedly infringing material that we host or control (for example: uploaded assets, mirrored files we store, self-hosted game modules under our control, user avatars, comments). It also covers how we handle clear notices about PeteZah UI references we control — including catalog entries, deep links, embeds, or technical interfaces that map a title to a third-party location — when disabling those references on our side is technically feasible. We cannot control the entire public internet reachable through a general-purpose proxy. For purely third-party sites you browse independently of a PeteZah catalog entry, send notices to that site's operator as well, and include any PeteZah-controlled URL if our UI specifically embeds or deep-links that destination. 4. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include substantially: (1) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (2) Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (direct URLs, catalog titles, file names, timestamps); (3) Your mailing address, telephone number, and email address; (4) A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed; (6) Your physical or electronic signature (typed full legal name is acceptable for email). Send notices to: Email: [email protected] CC (optional): [email protected] Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice We aim to review complete notices within approximately 48–72 hours of receipt, excluding weekends/holidays, but timing is not guaranteed. When a notice identifies a PeteZah-controlled catalog entry, embed, deep link, or hosted module, we investigate and may disable that reference or file even if the underlying bytes are stored only by a third party. 5. Counter-Notification If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). 6. Repeat Infringer Policy In appropriate circumstances, we terminate accounts and access of users who are repeat infringers. We may also remove catalog items, mirrors, or embeds when we become aware of clear infringement. 7. Misrepresentation (Section 512(f)) Knowingly materially misrepresenting that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may expose the notifier to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. 8. Trademarks and Other Rights For trademark, right-of-publicity, or similar complaints that are not pure DMCA copyright claims, email [email protected] with "IP Complaint" in the subject. We evaluate these in good faith but may require court orders for contested disputes. 9. Games, Music, and Audiovisual Media — Architecture Notes for Notices 9.1 AUDIOVISUAL (MOVIES / TV / ANIME). PeteZah does not host or store the underlying audiovisual files for third-party streams surfaced through the Movies feature. Metadata may come from third-party metadata services; playback, if any, is supplied by separate third-party services and may be requested through our browsing/proxy infrastructure. Valid notices should identify the precise PeteZah URLs, catalog titles, or UI locations you want disabled (for example, a specific title page or deep link under our control). We may remove, geo-restrict, or replace PeteZah-controlled references without admitting liability. Notices solely about bytes hosted only on a third-party origin should also be sent to that origin's operator. 9.2 MUSIC. Music playback is requested through third-party platforms such as SoundCloud and/or YouTube (official embed/API surfaces where available). Licensing and availability for individual tracks are determined by those platforms and their rights holders. For tracks PeteZah does not host, include the PeteZah UI location if you want a catalog/search reference disabled, and notify the platform that hosts the audio as appropriate. 9.3 GAMES / MODULES. The library may include self-hosted modules under our control and third-party embeds or catalog contributions (including partner/HTML5 collections credited in-product). For self-hosted or mirrored files we store, identify the direct URL or module id. For third-party destinations, identify any PeteZah catalog entry to disable and notify the destination operator for the underlying files. 9.4 PROCESS. Complete notices are reviewed in good faith. We investigate references under our control, may disable catalog entries or hosted modules, and may ask for clarifying information. We do not rely on a blanket claim that we “do not know” the nature of every third-party source; instead we follow a notice-driven process for material and references we can disable. 10. Proxy Browsing Disclaimer Browsing arbitrary third-party websites through a general-purpose proxy does not make us the host of that website's content. Notices solely about destinations we do not store should be directed to the destination operator. If our UI specifically embeds, deep-links, or catalogs a copy or stream reference, include that PeteZah URL in your notice. 11. Fair Use and Other Defenses Before filing, consider whether the use may be fair use, licensed, public domain, or otherwise authorized. When unsure, consult counsel. We are not your lawyer. 12. Advertising Creatives Ads are frequently served by Ad Partners. Copyright complaints about an ad creative should identify the creative and, where possible, be sent both to us and to the responsible ad network. 13.
